A grandiose spectacle
in a time-honoured landscape.

In Béarn the grass is green, the welcome is warm, and celebration is the order of the day.

History has shaped these fortified villages, typical houses and châteaux. Its people have always been proud of their traditional skills; deft swordsmen and masters of wordcraft, they attach great importance to the enjoyment of fine food and wine.

At the foot of the Pic du Midi d'Ossau,,
along the western foothills of the Pyrenees, lies a land of contrasts where strength and softness live in harmony

This is a small, characterful region where the mild Oceanic climate is tempered by the presence of the Pyrenees. It’s a place where the clouds bring cool air and rain when they reach the mountains; where the warm, dry wind known as the foehn blows every third day in spring and autumn, significantly drying and warming the atmosphere.

A precious gift for the future of the vineyards, ensuring the consistent high quality of an outstanding wine.

The vines have been expressing themselves in their own special way on these hillsides for four centuries. Generation after generation, the Guirardel family has carefully perpetuated the tradition of allowing nature to take its time. In 2019, the heirs to the Guirardel estate placed it in the hands of Nathalie Perrodo and Marjolaine de Coninck.

Marjolaine and Nathalie love to recharge their batteries here, in the main house on the estate: a traditional Bearn farmhouse facing the mountains, built of local stone with a slate roof. It’s a place where people can gather to celebrate and share the beauty, power and tranquility of the area…and to craft an outstanding wine.
